Be sure to write a general letter to the Weekend before you begin writing any personal letters to team and candidates. Just look at it as extra wheat you can do for the weekend.

If you would like to know if anyone from your area is on the weekend, contact the TEC office. We still have room on 182 so encourage others to experience Christ’s joy.

6:00 Hoot followed by Shared Prayer TEC 181 will lead you to the hoot from Church Shared Prayer will take place in church.

Directions: From Hwy 54 in Jefferson City take Hwy 50 E. take the Clark Street exit. Go left over the overpass. (right tun if you are on Hwy 50 W.) Proceed to stop light, you will see church and school on the right. Meet in the church.

Meetings are the Friday after every TEC weekend. Meetings are held at Immaculate Conception Parish in Jefferson City.

God is Calling you! Are you listening?

The last several TEC weekends have been difficult to plan for our directors because of a lack of Request to Serve applications on file. TEC will not survive without the service of willing Christians. 

There is no greater joy to serve the Lord then to serve him through serving others. 

Please challenge yourself and at least one other person you know to volunteer to serve the Lord through TEC. 

Linda Summers will be directing TEC 183 scheduled for March 16-18, 2002 in Vandalia. She is still looking for qualified teens and adults for the weekend. The weekend is especially in need of an experienced assistant director - can you help?

If you are reading this and thinking that doesn’t mean me. How wrong you are! We are in great need of adults and young adults alike. Any sacrifice one must make to be on a weekend is more than made up for with the rewards the Holy Spirit can grant you from serving the Lord by being Christ for the candidates and other team members.

RENEWING THE VISION OF TEC

Renewing the Vision of TEC is a workshop which will provide participants an opportunity to experience a TEC weekend in light of the new official TEC manual. Each workshop will walk participants through the TEC process making references to the underlying concepts and spiritual processes on which TEC is built.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND A WORKSHOP

Those in leadership positions such as board members, those who serve as directors of TEC, and people of faith who have sustained the movement. 

Diocesan and parish staff working with youth/young adult ministry, religious education, etc, clergy and religious. 

People who seek a deeper formation and understanding of the spiritual processes of TEC and the theoretical and pastoral insights to effectively mentor youth and young adults who seek to encounter Christ.

COST TO ATTEND $40 tuition plus local room and board costs (approximately $50-$80). A $60 deposit is due with your registration.

Tangible needs...

That's right, as this is the season for giving, TEC is in need of few items that serving on a weekend cannot provide for us. Since there is no nice way to put this, I will just come out and say it.... MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! Rest assured it will be put to good use. I can even tell you what for. 

a Copy Machine for the office. Maybe you have an old copier, or know someone who does? We would be happy to help them part with it? 

Also, MA TEC’s 25 anniversary is right around the corner and we are planning one heck of a shindig. One you wont want to miss! For this to happen we need the funds to support such an event with a world known keynote speaker. Be sure to read future newsletters for more details on this event.

In the mean time all contributions or information can be sent to the TEC Office c/o copy machine or 25 anniversary.
